Kinetic has just launched the premium segment GF Laser and
their executive segment contender, the Velocity. The GF Laser
shares mechanicals with the 170 CC City version, but wears snazzier
clothes, with a twin-headlamp fairing. Kinetic claims a top speed of 115
kph for the 15 bhp Laser which sports the same 4-valve engine. The Laser
follows the wheeltracks of the bargain basement GF 170.
The Velocity is a redesigned version of the Boss 115, sharing the
mechanicals, but now wearing the standard clothes of the executive
segment – bikini fairing and swoopy body panels.The Velocity's 115
CC engine makes a segment-spec 8.5 bhp. Kinetic says the motorcycle
comes with an 'intercooler' for the transmission oil, which should
result in longer life for the engine. The Velocity is priced at par with
the rest of the competition.
